本發明產品的功能及特色:

  1. 防水。不會引發周圍可能存在的易燃氣體爆炸。
  2. 從車廂內開門才會觸發信號提示聲(提示開車門者檢查是否有應帶走但可能仍留在車上的東西)。
  3. 當提示時,只須按壓一個按鈕可令提示聲立即停止;在制止鳴響後,無須再按壓按鈕以恢復提示功能,因為該按壓不會關掉提示器。
  4. 若不按壓該按鈕,關上車門亦可停止提示聲。
  5. 若車廂內的人想在開門時避免提示聲,可以首先用一或兩隻手指同時按壓該按鈕於縮入的位置不放開,再用另一隻手開門,當門開啟2厘米以上及開車門把手返回原位後才停止按壓即完成。
  6. 從車廂內開門後不關上門的提示聲只設定鳴響28至30秒。
  7. 有總電開關可關掉提示器。

     首先安裝提示器主體1 ,它可安裝在車門上任何方便使用的位置。車廂內的車門多數是不平坦的,可用產品附送的中空墊圈或任何咭紙/膠片墊於1背面恰當的位置,然後用其中四枚附送的螺絲固定1在車門上。電開關匣21可安裝在接近車廂地板或車門框的車門上,安裝之前要選定一個車廂地板或車門框的位置以固定安裝永磁體強磁鐵333及其護套組合335,亦可放棄選用其護套;21必須安裝在車門上以其中之一的刻度線垂直或成直角距離安裝在車廂地板或車門框上的333335不超過9mm,不超過3mm 的偏離是有效的。
     若選擇減少一雙外露的電線,可以把1安裝在接近車廂地板的車門上如圖1的後座;取出所提供的永磁體強磁鐵定位咭 337,用兩小片粘貼膠纸 339 分別貼於咭的左右兩邊(圖2 的第 2 步),把337放於即將安裝1的下方在車廂地板上,取出所提供的永磁體強磁鐵指示板338,把其兩孔套進1的兩枝短柱336 直至盡頭(图2 的第 2 步);用隨產品提供的9mm厚發泡膠片 6承托着1以便安裝於車門上接近車廂地板處;6要緊貼338的背面,337置於16之下(圖 2 的第 2 步),然後固定安裝1在該處,再用兩枝筷子或類似物體的端部按於該咭片兩個較大的孔中,以筷子推移該咭片直至咭片上的直線對正338下的直邊及其中間的尖角(圖2 的第3步),用手指或筷子尖把該咭片露於咭片外的339壓於車廂地板以暫時粘住該咭片於車廂地板上(圖2 的第 4 步),打開車門,再重覆用手指壓外露於咭片外的339於車廂地板上使咭片不會移位;該咭片的兩個較小的孔任何一個範圍內之下的車廂地板就是正確的位置以固定333335;可用錐子或刀尖刻劃該孔的圓週位在車廂地板上作記認,然後移走連同339337,永磁體強磁鐵 333 可剛藏進該刻劃的車廂地板位,亦可以快乾混合膠把 335 粘貼固定於該刻劃的車廂地板上,粘貼之前,該位置必須免除油污及水份,再用最粗糙的沙纸磨至粗糙,再鑽多個淺的小孔在该範圍內以加強固定效果。
     跟著是安裝永磁體磁鐵載件33在開車門拉柄38背面如圖4的第一步。簡單地說,就是要把該配件安裝在距離38 柄口約10mm處的背面,磁鐵與柄的下方要齊平,粘貼劑無規定那種,條件是粘貼力強及耐久,不會被水或陽光熱力使其失效;最佳的粘合劑是“魔術鋼膠”。 若用慢乾混合膠,首先用廢紙球撐開38如圖4第1步,要粘貼的部份要先免除油污,用最粗糙的水磨沙紙把要粘上3338 部份摩擦至粗糙,取一張名片並用剪刀剪成兩等份及跟著齊整疊 在一起,用雙面粘貼膠紙無皺摺地包緊兩片名片,再粘貼上一層膠膜在名片的向上那面,把名片放入38的小窩中,使有粘貼力那面粘固在該窩中;若用慢乾混合膠作粘合劑,先把膠漿塗勻33 要粘貼那面並用針推膠漿進入四個孔中,然後把33 粘上38背面,或許要用多一些膠漿以使其永磁體磁鐵對向下,再用粘貼膠紙圍繞33 連同38一週多一些如圖4的第一步,取出廢紙球,要待約8小時才可撕走粘貼膠紙及移走名片;再用廢紙球撐開38於開啟的狀態,用一條粘貼膠紙環繞33連同38一週多一些使其中向手柄口方向的膠紙邊沿跨正33 背面的刻度線(圖4的第2步),再移走廢紙球。
     安裝22要先用一條較長粘貼膠紙暫時固定它在車門上使它的其中一條刻度線不超過10mm垂直距離上方的38上的粘貼膠紙邊沿(跨過33的刻度線的膠紙邊沿,如圖4的第3步)不超過3mm的側向偏離都是有效的;然後像開車門的拉動38以測試能否發出提示聲,若不能,就要改變固定2239的位置使它另一條刻度線以不超過10mm垂直距離前述的38上的粘貼膠紙邊沿之下,再拉動38以測試能否發出提示聲;如無意外,這次必可得到提示聲。用鉛筆畫記定這個位置。
     過長的連接電線可繞於電線收藏轆81內及以電線收藏轆蓋82蓋上,並以提供的小螺絲固定8 於車門上。亦可選擇剪去過長的電線,並用焊錫連接好電線及用電線膠布包好,再推入1之背面。再憑鉛筆記號並用提供的小螺絲固定22於車門上,在其上塗上少量萬能膠,再用護罩20蓋上(如圖4的第4步)。
     在下雨天,安全盾及發聲盒的螺旋蓋的透聲孔可能因雨水封閉了部份的孔致提示聲減弱,兩者的孔都可以用吹氣的方式吹走被水封閉的透聲孔。
     在圖5,電池盒蓋上有 “打開的鎖形” 符號115及 “閉合了的鎖形” 符號117;在大的螺絲固定孔及發聲盒之間有“三角形” 符號118。欲打開電池盒蓋時,只要反時針方向旋轉盒蓋使115對正下方的118即可開啟電池盒;欲蓋緊電池盒,只要把盒蓋上的115對正下方的118,向下推入盒蓋,再順時針方向用力旋扭盒蓋直至117對正下方的118即完成。此設計是為了方便迅速生產。上方大台階上的按鈕161是供選擇剎停提示聲卻非關掉提示器。其旁的長方形台階上的推移鈕是供選擇關掉提示器的總電開關。
      本產品主要材料為PC+ABS 塑膠,堅固耐用。使用者應採用兩枚Extra Heavy Duty 的AAA 1.5V  cells 作為電源。一般情況足夠一個月使用。使用者亦可從外提供3V至5V DC的電源給本產品,電源若超過5V會燒壞電路板。方法是打開電池盒蓋,在電池格上方底部的平面恰當的位置鑽一個小孔足夠兩條幼電線穿過電池盒底部,然後從盒外穿入電池盒兩條電線分別焊接好在電池格的正確正負極處。電線與小孔間的空隙必須用防水膠液完全密封。兩條電線接上電源,當採用從外輸入電源,電池格內的電池必須移離,否則電池可能爆炸。

Functions and Characteristics of this invention product:

  1. Waterproof. It will not ignite an explosion of any inflammable gas that probably exists in its surroundings.
  2. Only opening the door from inside the car cabin can activate a reminder call or speech voice (remind the passenger to check whether there is anything that should be carried away but left in the car).
  3. The reminder call can be stopped by merely a press on a button but not switching off the reminder (no need to re-press the button to restore the call function).
  4. If that button is not pressed, closing the car door can also stop the reminder call.
  5. If the door opener in the car wants to avoid the call for that time, that button should be pressed with one or two fingers and held with the cooperation of the other hand until the door’s opening displacement
    made by the other hand is at least 2 cm and the door opening handle returned to its original position.
  6. Opening the car door from inside the car but not closing the car door gets a set 28 to 30 sec. reminder call.
  7. There is a main switch for switching off the reminder.

     It is preferable to install the reminder main-body 1 first on the car door 39 inside the car. The 39
surface inside most cars is not flat. The provided ring cushions or additional card/plastic cushions can be applied to put in proper position(s) behind the 1 which can be fixed by four of the provided screws on the
39 . The reed switch box 21 can be mounted on the 39 near the car floor or the car door frame; before that, choose a position for fixing the strong permanent magnet 333 with its protector 335 or only the 333 on the car floor or car door frame. The 21 must be mounted on the car door with the middle of either its scale line within 9 mm perpendicular to the 333 centre, deviation within 3 mm is valid.
     If choosing to reduce a pair of exposed wires, the 1 can be installed near the car floor as shown in the back seat of Fig. 1. Take out the provided locating card 337 for strong permanent magnet, stick two pieces of adhesive tape 339 on its two opposite sides respectively (2nd step of Fig. 2), put the 337 on the car floor under the position for installing the 1, take out the provided guide plate 338 for locating the strong permanent magnet and push its two holes to hold the two short pillars 336 for locating the guide plate until completely contacting the 1 (2nd step of Fig. 2); use the provided 9 mm thick styrofoam  piece 6 to support the 1 for installing near the car floor; the 6 must contact the back of the 338 completely, the 337 is to be ridden by the 1 and the 6 (2nd step of Fig.2), then fix the 1 there. Use the tips of two chopsticks or similar objects to push the two bigger holes of the 337 to move the card until the straight lines of the 337 align with the lower straight edge of the 338 and the middle pointed head (3rd step of Fig. 2); press the parts of the two pieces of the 339 that jut out from the 337 to the car floor for attaching the 337 on the car floor temporarily (4th step of Fig. 2); open the car door, repeat pressing the jutting out parts of the 339 to the car floor for preventing it to move. The area of the car floor included by either the smaller hole of the 337 is the correct position to fix the 333 or 335. Use the tip of a small knife to engrave a circle on the car floor guided by the circumference of either the smaller hole of the 337. Remove the 337 and the 339. The 333 can be embedded in the engraved circle area of the car floor. The 335 can be fixed on that area with Fast-setting epoxy adhesive; before fixing the 335, that area must be free from oil, roughened by the roughest sand paper and be drilled some small, shallow holes to strengthen its attachment effect.

    

     Then the permanent magnet set 33 is to be mounted on the back of the door opening handle 38 about 10 mm from the 38 opening having the downward magnet with the same level of the bottom part of the 38. There is no specific glue for the attachment, the effect must be strong in attaching, lasting, will not affect by water and sunlight heat. The best adhesive is the “MAGIC STEEL”. If slow-setting epoxy adhesive is used, make a paper lump with waste paper and put it behind the 38 to create a wide enough opening (1st step of Fig. 4); use the roughest sand paper to rub the part of the 38 for fixing the 33; take a name card, cut it to two equal pieces and stick them together uniformly with double-coating tape, stick a plastic film to its one side and put it into the handle compartment with its adhesive side downwards sticking inside the compartment; apply the mixed paste to the side of the 33 for fixing and use a needle to push some of the paste into the holes of the 33, stick the 33 to the back of the 38, perhaps more epoxy adhesive is needed to
keep the permanent magnet of the 33 right downwards; then stick with a piece of adhesive tape to surround the 38 and the 33 over one revolution (1st step of Fig. 4), take out the waste paper lump; the name card and the adhesive tape can be removed after 8 hours. Use the waste paper lump again to block the 38 from closing, use a piece of adhesive tape to stick and surround the 38 and the 33 over one revolution with the edge of the adhesive tape near the 38 opening right over the scale line of the 33 (2nd step of Fig. 4); the waste paper lump can then be removed.
        It requires to mount the permanent magnet reed switch box 22 on the car door 39 temporarily with a long enough adhesive tape under the 38; one of the 22’s scale line must be within 10 mm perpendicular right under the adhesive tape edge on the 38 (the same adhesive tape edge right over the scale line of the 33) as the 3rd step of Fig. 4, deviation within 3 mm is valid. Then pull the 38 like opening the car door to test if the reminder signal can be activated. If there is no signal, it requires to change mounting the 22 on the 39 with its other scale line within 10 mm perpendicular right under the same adhesive tape edge on the 38. Pull the 38 again to test if the reminder signal can be activated. The reminder call should come out this time. Use a pencil to mark the position of the 22 on the 39.
     The excessive length of connection wires can be winded in the wires-reel 81 and concealed in the wires-reel cover 82; the wires-reel cover with wires-reel inside the 8 can be secured on the 39 with the provided screws. It can also be chosen to cut away the excessive length of connection wires and connect the wire ends respectively by solder. The connection parts must be wrapped by insulation tape and concealed under the 1.
     According to the pencil mark for the position of the 22 on the 39, the 22 can be mounted on the 39 with the small screws provided. Apply a little adhesive on the 22 and cover it by the safety cover 20 (4th step of Fig. 4).
       In rainy day, the sound transmission holes on the safety shield and the sound generator box screw cap maybe blocked by rain water to cause a poor reminder signal. Blowing the holes by the mouth can clear away the water.

       

     In Fig. 5, there is a “lock opened”sign 115 and a “lock closed”sign 117 on the battery box screw-cap; there is also a “ triangle”sign 118 between the lower, big screw fixing hole and the sound generation box on the external base. For opening the screw-cap of the battery box, it is necessary to screw the screw-cap counterclockwise until the 115 is right over the 118. For closing the screw-cap, it is necessary to place the 115 right over the 118 and push down the screw-cap, then screw the screw-cap clockwise until the 117 changes position to right over the 118. This design is completely for easy manufacture of the market product. It is watertight. The button switch 161 on the big platform is for option of stopping the reminder signal but not switching off the reminder. The push switch on its adjacent rectangular platform is the main switch for option of switching off the reminder.

     The main material of this product is PC+ABS plastics. It is strong and durable. It is preferable to use two Extra Heavy Duty AAA 1.5 V cells as power source to provide about one month's service. Its users can also provide 3V to 5V DC power source to this product from outside. Exceeding 5V DC power source will damage the circuitry. Open the battery cover, drill a small hole through the base part just big enough for two thin wires to pass through, then lead two thin wires to pass through the hole from outside and solder them respectively to the output positive and negative parts of the battery compartment. The gaps between the wires and the hole must be watertight sealed up by waterproof adhesive. Provide power source to the two wires. When external power source is applied, the battery cells in the battery compartment must be removed or the battery cells will explode.
